Dr. Richard Prokesch, MD

Dr. Richard Prokesch completed his medical school education at New York Medical college in Valhalla, New York. After graduation, he moved to Atlanta, Georgia where he completed his internship, residency, and fellowship at Emory University and its affiliated hospitals. He has been ranked a Top Infectious Disease doctor by Atlanta Magazine every year since 2010 and received the prestigious IDSA Watanakunakorn Clinician Award in 2023 for outstanding achievement in the clinical practice of Infectious Diseases. In addition to practicing medicine, he still lives and practices in Atlanta, where he is also a faculty member at the Emory University School of Medicine. When not working, Dr. Prokesch enjoys triathlons, cycling, running, tennis, cooking, and spending time at the beach.
