Dr. Jose Ochoa is a respected Pulmonary and Critical Care specialist known for his extensive expertise and significant contributions to medicine. He completed his Bachelor’s of Science at The University of Texas Pan American in Edinburg, Texas, and earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. Dr. Ochoa’s comprehensive training includes a residency in Internal Medicine at Texas A&M Health Sciences Center Scott and White in Temple, Texas, followed by fellowships in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, Louisiana, and Sleep Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Ochoa’s career began at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center in the Texas Medical Center, where he played a pivotal role in training internal medicine residents and addressing critical needs during the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, he serves as a Pulmonary Critical Care attending at Houston Methodist – Willowbrook Hospital and Memorial Hermann – The Woodlands, where he continues to deliver exemplary patient care and innovative treatment solutions. His extensive experience in the ICU and Pulmonary Medicine is further enhanced by his telemedicine roles with Eagle Telemedicine, demonstrating his adaptability and commitment to advancing healthcare.

Driven by an unwavering pursuit of excellence, Dr. Ochoa recently completed an Executive MBA at Rice University’s Jones Graduate School of Business, underscoring his dedication to lifelong learning and leadership. His professional affiliations include membership in the American College of Chest Physicians and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, reflecting his ongoing commitment to both personal and professional development. Dr. Ochoa’s holistic approach to medicine integrates his clinical acumen with a passion for continuous improvement and knowledge advancement.

Outside of his distinguished medical career, Dr. Ochoa is a devoted husband to his wife, LaTonya, and a proud father to their two young daughters, Xiomara and Jimena. He finds joy in reading, collecting religious art, and exploring new destinations through travel, enriching his life with diverse experiences and perspectives.
